Healing, reiki, crystal therapy and energy work listings

Energy healing is based on the belief that a healer is able to channel healing energy into the person seeking help. At the extremes, this channeling may be through hand-on touch or at a great distance. Some healing such as reiki is "hands off". Contact healing is often described as a transfer of healing energy, whereas distance healing is pursued through visualisation of the patient in fully restored health.

There are a great many schools of energy healing, including biofield energy healing,spiritual healing,contact healing, distant healing, therapeutic touch,Reiki and Qi Gong. The historical origins of energy healing go back millenia, with no agreement on any earliest records. Some specific techniques, however, such as Reiki, are more easily traced.
